As a consultant the spatial artist and perceptual researcher also dispenses consciously with conventions – and that across industry lines: sha. offers holistic advice. As an expert for the »Relationship between sense and the senses«, sha.´s approach begins at the basis of our picture of the world. This "holistic consulting" is based on the conviction that the most original and furthest-reaching approaches result from the inspiring confrontation with non-specialist fields of knowledge and experience, not from narrow concentration on industry-specific problems. THE METHOD: CREATIVE WORK Naturally, in »Space-making« lies the central motive for the new connection of the human mind (sense) with the senses. This creative process can be understood both figuratively and literally and covers the spectrum from imaginative space to actual space, from first draft to implementation, from the imaginary to the concrete, physical experience of space. The point is to create free space, both symbolically and in reality – more space for the new, the creative, the innovative. THE GOAL: FROM VISION TO SHAPING PROCESS In this way, the artist-consultant sha. realizes something impossible in most normal consultancy settings: in a special resonance process between manager and artist, a seemingly effortless »balancing« between material and immaterial values is achieved. The process spans between visionary space – in which inner purposes and ur-motivations can develop and be recognized – to the »manifestation of the vision« in a concrete shaping process. This might take the form of a spatial transformation (for example a work of interior art, serving the business as a lasting point of self-identification) or of concrete results in product innovation or an imaginative extension of product or service offerings.
