How Art Can Support the Economy in Times of Crisis Study: "AlphaSphere as a way to increase efficiency in companies" Vienna, 18.3.2009 In times of uncertainty and loss of confidence, ART can do something unique for the ECONOMY – without giving up its own identity: precisely because of its sensory/immaterial qualities, AlphaSphere helps people decrease their stress levels, recharge their batteries and expand their creativity and action potential. All these are important factors for a higher quality of life, and thus also for higher work quality – which is financially reflected in a definite increase in productivity and efficiency. A recently published study at the University of Vienna came to this conclusion. This study evaluates the effects of "AlphaSphere" – a lounger art object created by the Viennese artist and perception researcher "sha." – as a way to increase efficiency in offices.
